Strange things do happen sometimes
and Maame Adjoa Mensah, a 24-year-old native of Agona – Nyakrom in the Central
Region, who self-confessed to being a “witch captain”, is reported to have
crash-landed at Nsutam near Bunso Junction in the Eastern Region while she was
physically flying in the air Thursday dawn.
The so-called witch, Adjoa Mensah,
gave a bizarre narration of how she and her husband, Yaw Frimpong, as well as
their two sons, Dankwah, 10, and Sackey, 9, were flying in the air while seated
on a plantain when they crash-landed.
She said they were on a mission to
kill a woman who resided at Nsutam, but when their ‘plantain tree’ flight
reached the tower of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church building at Nsutam,
they crash-landed.
Maame Adjoa noted further that after
the crash, her husband and sons disappeared and left her behind.
When day broke, residents saw Maame
Adjoa with a bushy hair and bruises on her body. It is believed she sustained
the bruises as a result of the crash. She was in a not too clean and torn dress
and was allegedly reciting some incantations in an attempt to disappear when
she was found.
Maame Adjoa’s presence attracted a
crowd of people, some of whom questioned her and she reportedly confessed to
being a witch captain and explained her mission and how she crash-landed.
She was taken to the studio of Radio
1, a local radio station based at Bunso Junction, where she repeated her
strange story and added other revelations too strange for publication.
The management of the radio station
handed her over to the Bunso police.
