Progressive Peoples Party promises to abolish BECE if voted into power this year
The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) says it will abolish the basic education certificate examinations written by Junior High Schools in the country if voted in to power this year.  National chairman of the party, Nii Brew Hammond disclosed this at a ceremony to popularly acclaim the party’s Wa central parliamentary candidate for the 2016 polls.  He said students will no longer sit for the BECE after their three year study at the Junior High School. They will automatically be given admission to senior high schools in the country upon completing the JHS course
