Catholic Church bans provocative dresses

A catholic church in Cape Coast in the Central region has ban what they call provocative dresses in the church by its members

The church, St John the Baptist Church has place pictures of dresses it does not want to see in the church at the frontage of the church.

According to the President of the church, Andrew Kofi Wofersor, such dresses that expose vital body parts of women tempt some weak members and even some of the priests.

Joy News’ Richard Kojo Nyarko reported that the announcement received an overwhelming applause from the congregation.

He indicated that, the leaders of the church said they will also engage parents of the young girls who were the skimpy dresses to advise them accordingly.

President Andrew Kofi Wofersor he indicated that the skimpy dresses lead many including the priests into temptation.

“Most of the people who come to church are distracted by these provocative dressing. Instead of listening to the word of God, you will see them starring at the breast or thighs of the ladies.
President Andrew Kofi Wofersor added that they have pasted samples of the unapproved dressing in front of the church “so that if you fall within, you quickly go home and change”
