MAHAMA
CHASTISES NATIONAL SECURITY OVER RELEASE OF TERROR INFO
President john Mahama has vehemently
chastised the national security council for what he describes as an unfortunate
release of intelligence to the regional security councils.
The national Security Council has release a
detailed security alert documents indicating a possible terror attack on Ghana
to the regional security councils in the country.
The document also revealed strategies to be
applied to combat possible terror attack.
But president Mahama says whoever released
that detailed document was unnecessary.
He also says Ghana has formed allies with
other West African countries to help prevent any possible attack of terrorism
in the country.
Meanwhile the Information Services
Department (ISD) has begun a two-week Terror Alert campaign across the Volta
Region in respect of possible terrorist attacks on Ghana.
Volta Regional Information Officer Cephas
Aggor says Mobile Cinema vans have been deployed to all districts in the region
to sensitize the public on the need to report strange people and characters to
the police and traditional rulers.
However a security analyst Paul Boateng says
Ghanaians must be educated on any security threat so as to be alert and help
the security agency prevent any possible attacks
