New Software to fish WAEC Students
The software, the Item Differentiator Software, has been piloted for two years now. It will analyze all objective answers to determine those which candidate cheated.
Speaking to Starr News, the Public Relations Officer of WAEC, Agnes Tei Cudjoe said the software is to cure cases of malpractices especially in the Mathematics paper as the number of students found to be cheating in the subject keeps going high.
“We want to caution students to abide by the rule and do what is expected of them in the exams hall. This year, we are introducing the software which will detect cheating in objective tests. The software will analyze the pattern of answers to determine the level of cheating and candidates who are found to have abuse the system will be punished,” she stated.
