All roads
are leading to the Antarctic Hotel in the Eastern Regional capital of Koforidua
where Adom FM’s Morning Show team, have pitched camp to present the maiden
edition of Adom Keteke.
Adom
Keteke is a novelty by the station aiming at creating awareness on the upcoming
election through comprehensive analysis of the regional dynamics that would
affect the outcome of the November polls.
Morning
Show host, Captain Smart and his team are ready to host representatives of
various political parties as they dissect the major policies and programmes
each party has for the electorates in the region.
Voters who
are the main targets in the votes would also have the opportunity to express
their views on the process telling indirectly what would affect the direction
of their votes.
Koforidua
Edition
The maiden
edition of the programme which has been the talk of town for weeks now would
feature representatives from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), National Democratic
Congress (NDC) and the Convention People’s Party (CPP).
The
representatives would discuss at length the Agenda 50/50 which has been the
main target of the NDC in the region.
The
Regional Minister, Mavis Ama Frimpong and Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for
New Juaben, Kwabena Okyere Kusi are among the panel members to be hosted by the
dynamic Captain Smart.
Election
Dynamics of the Eastern Region
The
Eastern Regional branch of the NDC declared the Agenda 50/50 otherwise known as
‘Kyemp3’ as a means of securing votes in the region.
The
decision to declare the Agenda 50/50 was informed by the rise in NDC votes in
the multi-ethnic region in the 2012 General Elections.

The NPP
has also declared an agenda 80/20.
In the 2012 elections, Nana
Akufo-Addo secured 655,462 representing 56.91% while John Mahama secured
483,998 which represented 42.03%.
The Eastern Region and Ashanti
Region were the only two regions the NPP won in the 2012 General Elections.
The NPP also won 26 out of the 33
seats. The NDC won only 7.
