Adom Keteke kicks off in grand style at K’dua

All roads are leading to the Antarctic Hotel in the Eastern Regional capital of Koforidua where Adom FM’s Morning Show team, have pitched camp to present the maiden edition of Adom Keteke.
Adom Keteke is a novelty by the station aiming at creating awareness on the upcoming election through comprehensive analysis of the regional dynamics that would affect the outcome of the November polls.
Morning Show host, Captain Smart and his team are ready to host representatives of various political parties as they dissect the major policies and programmes each party has for the electorates in the region.

Voters who are the main targets in the votes would also have the opportunity to express their views on the process telling indirectly what would affect the direction of their votes.
Koforidua Edition
The maiden edition of the programme which has been the talk of town for weeks now would feature representatives from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Convention People’s Party (CPP).
The representatives would discuss at length the Agenda 50/50 which has been the main target of the NDC in the region.
The Regional Minister, Mavis Ama Frimpong and Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for New Juaben, Kwabena Okyere Kusi are among the panel members to be hosted by the dynamic Captain Smart.
Election Dynamics of the Eastern Region
The Eastern Regional branch of the NDC declared the Agenda 50/50 otherwise known as ‘Kyemp3’ as a means of securing votes in the region.
The decision to declare the Agenda 50/50 was informed by the rise in NDC votes in the multi-ethnic region in the 2012 General Elections.

The NPP has also declared an agenda 80/20.
In the 2012 elections, Nana Akufo-Addo secured 655,462 representing 56.91% while John Mahama secured 483,998 which represented 42.03%.
The Eastern Region and Ashanti Region were the only two regions the NPP won in the 2012 General Elections.
The NPP also won 26 out of the 33 seats. The NDC won only 7.

Wrong dates on EC’s Voter’s ID cards



The ongoing voter registration exercise appears to have suffered some setbacks st some polling stations as some registration machines are generating wrong dates on the ID cards.


Some of the cards have Wednesday’s date, 27th April, 2016 instead of Thursday’s date, 28th April, 2016, which is the starting date for the registration. The latest incident was recorded at the Boko polling station Antwima Kwanwoma in the Ashanti Region


The EC is yet to comment on the latest developmen

AUDIO: Sarkodie releases song for daughter

Michael Owusu Addo known in Showbiz as Sarkodie has confirmed the birth of his baby girl with fiancee of 10years, Tracy.
In a song titled, ‘The Way I feel,’ Sarkodie in his usual rap prowess has revealed the name of the child as ‘Adalyne Owusu Addo.’
The daughter born on 28th March, 2016 is the best thing that has ever happened to the Rapper, according to him because that is all he has always been praying for (a baby girl).

Three Central University students crashed to death by tipper truck

News just in suggests three students of the Law Faculty of the Central University College in Prampram have been crashed to death by a tipper truck, Tuesday evening.
 
Details about the fatal crash are sketchy but sources say damage to the Ash VW Passat, with registration ER 228-14, in which the three victims were traveling suggests they may have tried to overtake the truck.

LATE SHAI-OSUDOKU NDC ASPIRANT'S WIFE TO CONTEST SEAT
Widow of late NDC parliamentary candidate for Shai-Osudoku has declared her intention to contest the position left vacant by her deceased husband
Linda Akweley Ocloo, wife of the late lawmaker aspirant, William Ocloo has officially declared her intention to contest the seat, a week after her husband’s burial
However, she says she is already under pressure from forces within the party to step down and have told the constituency executives she was interested
Meanwhile the party says they will not prevent anyone who shows interest in contesting.
