Three SA ex-Police officers charged


The three South African ex-Police Officers who were arrested on Sunday by the Bureau of National Investigations for breach of security have been charged with committing murder to wit unlawful training and false declaration.

The three, Major Ahmed Shaik Hazis (rtd), 54; Warrant Officer Denver Dwayhe, 33, and Captain Mlungiseli Jokani, 45 were arrested for training private security personnel of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Nana Akufo Addo and his running mate Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia.

The Head of Nana Addo’s security team Captain (rtd) Edmund Koda and the owner of the EL-Capitano Hotel Captain (rtd) Acquah who were also arrested on Wednesday and released on bail have also been charged.

They are expected to be arraigned before court today after the BNI failed to complete investigations for them to appear before court on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Officials of the South African High Commission have interrogated the three ex-police officers.
