Starr FM’s Vyrusky crowned best Event Dj

Starr FM’s Kofi Amoako popularly known as DJ Vyrusky has been crowned the best Event DJ at the 2016 Ghana DJ awards held at the International Conference Centre Friday.

Vyrusky is also the DJ for Ghana’s best radio Drive Time show, Starr Drive hosted by Bola Ray and Anita Erskine.

The event featured performances from the likes of Kwaw Kese, MzVee, Galaxy, Eno, Chameleon, Akpaatse Apaa, Ras Kuuku, Don Icthy, Baba Spirit, DJ Vyrusky and DJ Cue.

The event was hosted by Joy fm’s Drive Time Host Lexis Bill.

King of turntables and Ultimate FM’s Head of music, Fidel Korankye Idan known as ‘Mr. Kaxtro’ emerged as the Scratch DJ of the year.

Mr. Kaxtro who had six nominations, wrestled the award from recognised DJs such as DJ Kofi, DJ Bass, DJ GFT, Papa Bills, DJ Slim, DJ Black, Andy Dosty, Sammy Forson and Immature.

Mr. Kaxtro is the host of Kumasi’s number one weekend show Club Arena with Ultimate FM’s Drive Time Host Foster Aggor and MC Lyrical.

DJ Black, King Lagazee, Ohemaa Woyeje win big at Ghana DJ Awards

DJs of The Multimedia Group were once again at the forefront of affairs at the 2016 Ghana DJ Awards sweeping the biggest awards of the night including Best DJ of the Year.
On the night, Multimedia proved that they are par excellence when it comes to playing music in Ghana.
Host of the Open House Party and the Weekend Warmer on Joy FM, DJ Black swept the Best Male Radio DJ of the Year and the night’s biggest award, Best DJ of the Year.

This is DJ Black’s fourth consecutive time of winning the biggest award of the night. He had previously won the 2013, 2014 and 2015 editions of the awards.
Ohemaa Woyeje, host of Adom FM’s Mid –Morning Show won Best Female Radio DJ of the Year while King Lagazee, host of Lagazee Soundz Show on Hitz FM won Reggae/dancehall of the Year.
The 2016 Ghana DJ Awards night at the Accra International Conference Centre on Friday night witnessed performances from Eno, Kwaw Kese, Ras Kuuku and Apaatse. The event was emceed by Lexis Bill and MzGee.
