PREZ AKUFO-ADDO TELLS NEW CJ TO REDEEM IMAGE OF JUDICIARY
 
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has charged the newly-sworn-in Chief Justice (CJ), Sophia Abena Boafoa Akuffo to redeem the image of the judiciary.
He asked Justice Sophia Akuffo to continue the good work started by former Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Wood in cleansing the judiciary to regain it respect.
President Akufo-Addo made gave the charge during the swearing in of Justice Sophia Akuffo as the new CJ of Ghana.
President Akufo-Addo added that his government will not shield any state officials who break the laws.
He also condemnedNPP officials who besieged the Savelugu Municipal Assembly offices preventing the MCE from working andasked the police to deal with perpetrators of the act.

The newly-sworn-in Chief Justice, Sophia Akuffo also promised to protect the integrity of the judiciary.
