GHANAIANS TO PAY MORE FOR ELECTRIC POWER-ENERGY MINISTER




The Minister of Energy BoakyeAgyarko says Ghanaians will be paying more for electric power when all eight power purchasing agreement are signed.
According to him Ghana will incur $700 million debt every year after all power purchasing agreements are signed.
This he says will shoot up the cost that the final consumer of the electricity will pay for.
He says government is making efforts to reduce the cost that will be bored by consumers.
The minister made this known at the opening of this year’s Energy Summit.
At the summit the minister stated that government is enrolling plans to ensure that the citizenry will have adequate power supply.
