AKUA DONKOR’S RUNNING MATE UNDER AGE

A Private legal practitioner Garry Nimako says the age of the running mate of Akua Donkor doesn’t allow her to occupy that position therefore EC must disqualify her.

Flag-bearer of Ghana Freedom Party Akua Donkor has picked 32 year old farmer Patricia Asanti as her running mate for the December general elections.

Speaking to Adom News Lawyer Nimako says the Constitution states that if someone wants to be a President the age of the person should be 40 years and above though it doesn’t provide age for Vice President, since vice President is a potential President then the person should meet the criteria for the President.  

Meanwhile Akua Donkor tells Adom News the age of her running mate is 42 years not 32 years. According to her it was a printing mistake but Patricia couldn’t rectify because she is not able to read and write.

A secret audio recording which is purported to be the voice of Ace Ghanaian comedian and actor Agya Koo has gone viral on social media, in which he was heard saying he chose to campaign for NPP because he waited for money from President John Mahama to campaign for him but the money never came.

According to him, people have been enjoying from the camp of the president but he has been sidelined so he has decided to throw his weight behind NPP.

On the tape, Agya Koo claimed he loves President Mahama and his wife and he feels sad when he hears people maligning them. But some unnamed persons have prevented him from meeting the president to get his share of the money from the presidency
Meanwhile, Agya Koo had earlier, on the NPP campaign platform at Tema, disclosed that he is campaigning for the NPP because he feels the economy is bad and change should happen
